Precision Engineering Tools Built for Serious Makers
MetriFab was engineered to solve a pervasive problem in digital maker communities: ad-cluttered, slow-loading calculators running approximations that cause failed 18-hour 3D prints, under-cured sticky resin pours, and misaligned custom cabinetry.
Who Built MetriFab?
Fabrication Technologists & Software Engineers
MetriFab is designed and maintained by a team of mechanical prototyping engineers, custom furniture fabricators, and embedded hardware developers. Having wasted thousands of dollars on failed resin silicone molds and ruined Baltic birch drawer boxes due to inconsistent online formulas, we created a single open-spec repository where every mathematical constant is traceable directly to manufacturer Technical Data Sheets (TDS).
Our 4-Stage Verification Methodology
How we ensure mathematical precision across all 5 engineering silos:
1. Direct TDS Cross-Referencing
Every specific gravity, density, and hardware deduction is drawn directly from official manufacturer engineering documentation (Smooth-On, Polytek, Blum, Salice, Polymaker, eSun).
2. Workshop Scale & Caliper Calibration
Spool tare weights and laser kerf offsets are empirically validated using calibrated 0.01g lab scales and digital Mitutoyo micrometer calipers across multiple manufacturing batches.
3. Automated CI/CD Regression Testing
Every formula is protected by automated unit test suites in Vitest. Calculations are tested against extreme boundary values, unit conversion roundtrips, and zero-divide traps.
4. 100% Static HTML Delivery
All 800+ pages are pre-computed at build time. No database queries, no server cold-starts, and zero layout shifting ads delaying your workshop work bench calculations.
